Several abseil events are held per year at Leasowe Lighthouse. Upcoming events are as follows:

There are 50 places available at each abseiling event, with an opportunity to experience the spectacular view from the lamp room at the top of the lighthouse followed by the abseil from the balcony.
During the 60 minute adrenaline-fuelled adventure, you will:

receive a full safety briefing and abseil equipment hire on the day

climb the 130 steps up the spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse

enjoy the stunning views over Leasowe Bay and beyond from the lamp room at the top of the lighthouse
-
lean back and begin your 100ft abseil down this historic Grade II listed building
-
receive a souvenir metal lapel badge
The physical abseiling is managed by Abseil UK who provide an experienced instructor and team to manage the abseiling and ensure the safety of all participants.

On the day

You will be kitted out by an experienced instructor on the ground floor
When you are ready, you will be escorted to the top of the lighthouse by one of the lighthouse volunteers
At your own pace you will abseil down
Friends and family can cheer you on from the bottom of the lighthouse
The lighthouse café will be open for the sale of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Tours of the lighthouse are not available on abseil days.
